Buckeye Police Arrest Homicide Suspect
On Tuesday, February 12, 2019, Buckeye police arrested 29-year-old Roxanne Lararmart in connection with a homicide that claimed the life of Sally Haese, 69, of Buckeye.
Investigators originally responded to a home in the area of Ash Avenue and Redwood Lane Monday, February 11, at around 2:30 a.m. Inside, they found Haese suffering from critical injuries. She was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The BPD learned early on that Lararmart was the suspect, who according to witnesses, fled the scene on foot. Officers and detectives knew Lararmart from previous contacts and the search for her began immediately.
While the crime scene was being processed, detectives, with the support of BPD’s SWAT team, canvassed the area and searched several homes, where Lararmart has been known to stay. Those efforts turned up nothing.
The rest of Monday was spent contacting known associates of Lararmart, handing out business cards and searching areas where she hung out. As nightfall arrived, BPD released Lararmart’s picture on social media and distributed it to media outlets asking for the public’s help.
BPD received tips from several concerned citizens. Each one was taken seriously and followed up.
Tuesday morning, at approximately 10:35, BPD received a tip that Lararmart was at the Country Home Mobile Home Park on MC 85, west of Watson Road. Officers and detectives responded to the area, located Lararmart and took her into custody without incident.
Lararmart is currently being processed. She will be booked into the Maricopa County 4th Avenue Jail.
